| Yve Christie studied at Glasgow School of Art - graduating with a Masters in Philosophy in 2000. Since then she has been working with 'Art in Industry' and is currently involved in The Environmental Initiatives Research Group at UWS - The University of The West of Scotland, Paisley. Her research for PhD is centred around finding an aesthetic approach to re-present the waste products of industrial process through the development of new eco-materials from waste streams which will divert many useful resources from landfill, reducing CO2 emissions and conserve natural resources. |  New work - inspired by the idea of journey and personal perspective - How we interact with our environ and how that viewpoint is translated in visual form to colour our lives. As an Environmental Artist, she has been exploring the Scottish Islands, documenting each unique experience in monoprint, photography and mixed media. |
